Harmony Award Banquet

The sounds of jazz lured people inside the banquet hall, and the ceremony began with a special tribute to the Honourable James Bartleman, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. The room was decorated with pictures of social harmony drawn by the children of Lester Che Junior Public School and Highland Heights Junior Public School. Shortly after the opening of the banquet, the guests listened Toronto's new Mayor elect David Miller praise the work of June Callwood, the Harmony Scholarship recipients and the Harmony Movement. Miller exclaimed, "The Harmony Movement is special and I think symbolic of what makes our city so great"
